Miscanthus sinensis "Zebrinus"

Zebra Grass. An elegant grass with arching narrow green leaves with bands of yellow stripes, and plumes of silver flowers. Height 2.4m. Spread 1.2m. Flower colour Silver. Flowers from September to October. Deciduous. Foliage colour Green, Yellow. Hardy. Planting instructions Back-fill with soil mixed with peat and a suitable fertiliser.

Position: Open, sunny site with well-drained soil.

Herbaceous, clump-forming, perennial grass. Leaves, hairy beneath, have transverse, yellowish-white ring markings. May carry awned, hairy, white spikelets in fan-shaped panicles in autumn.

Planting: Ensure root ball is thoroughly moist when planting and at the same level in the soil as it was in the container. Refill planting hole with soil mixed with some compost and a sprinkling of bone meal. Firm well and water in.
Plant care: Keep moist until established.

These will be cut back soon and sent out dormant..... best time to plant is winter.
